Chief Executive OfficerMike joined the Advocator Group, parent company of Adeo Solutions, in 2014, after several months of working with the company as a strategic leadership consultant through his advisory firm Shunney and Associates, LLC. Mike brings with him over 20 years of experience as a senior executive with Sun Life Financial, including roles as P&L leader of their Employee Benefits Group and President of U.S. Distribution. His expertise includes business strategy, particularly knowledge in distribution & sales, profit building, mergers & acquisitions, and organizational development. He is known for recognizing and rewarding talent and instilling strong competitive drive in team members to achieve organizational success.
Mike graduated from Merrimack College, earning a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Finance. He currently serves on advisory boards at Mobile Health Consumer (corporate health management technology) and Assist America (global emergency travel assistance provider), and on the Board of Directors for the Doug Flutie Jr. Autism Foundation.
Director, Adeo SolutionsMelissa Prudente joined the Advocator Group, parent company of Adeo Solutions, in 2003. In her years with the organization, she has served in a number of capacities prior to and alongside her current role on the Senior Leadership Team. As the Director of Adeo Solutions and Administrative Services, she leads a large team of administrative personnel, facilities management, client services teammates, and has responsibility of Adeo Solutions.
Melissa graduated from Framingham State College, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology with a concentration in Social Deviance. Melissa earned her Master’s Degree in Education from Lesley University in and has certificates in Project Management as well as Human Resources Management.
Recovery SpecialistMargaret joined Adeo Solutions in 2011 as a Reimbursement Coordinator. In this role she was responsible for managing caseloads of ongoing reimbursements with various state Trust Funds (MA, NY, WDC and ME). Margaret has built strong relationships with these State Trust Funds as well as with our clients. In her current role as Recovery Specialist, she also assists with customer audits and reviews for the purposes of identifying claims eligible for reimbursement pursuant to Second Injury Fund guidelines. She is responsible for managing a caseload of claims for our clients and preparing petitions for reimbursement for those claims that are determined to have met all the elements required in order to file for reimbursement.
Margaret earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Education from Salem State and a Paralegal certification from Northeastern University.
Recovery Specialist IISheena joined Adeo Solutions in 2013. In her role, she focuses on the development of Massachusetts Second Injury Fund claims with the goal of filing initial Petitions for Reimbursement. Sheena’s specialty is working closely with employers to uncover every opportunity to establish evidence of prior knowledge of impairment. Before joining Adeo Solutions, Sheena was a paralegal at a leading workers’ compensation defense law firm for five years.
Sheena earned an Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies from Northern Essex Community College and her Bachelor’s Degree in Legal Studies and Political Science at the University of Massachusetts.
